Independence Day Swim & BBQ

I'm about a month behind in my blogging, so look for an update a day as I play catch up!

We had a Dibble swim party and BBQ to celebrate Independence Day a little early on the 2nd of July.

I still don't understand why Elliot wouldn't heft me up on his shoulders and run into the pool. It looked fun.

Clairie is a barnacle to the shallowest part of the pool. You may not make her go where she does not want to go. But she'll pose for a picture.

I may have tried to torture the dog.

Unlikely.

A sacrifice to the pool gods.

Stella was determined to learn how to swim in the deep end this day. Of course, the shallow end is still pretty deep, but for some reason the deep end has been a daunting task for her. She's a determined little girl and now that she's conquered the fear of the deep end of the pool, we'll be working on moths and the vacuum.
