Stella learned how to ride her bicycle without training-wheels this week!
For the last several weeks we've been planting in Stella's head that we're going to take off the training wheels. She was a little nervous. But her 2 little friends at Kindergarten ride their bikes to school and she's just been dying to learn to ride on 2 wheels! So since my idea of taking off one training wheel at a time failed (it just made her overcompensate on the other side), we decided to take both of them off.
I'm so proud of Stella for trying, and trying, and throwing her helmet off in frustration, and then trying again and again until she finally got it! It only took her a week without the training wheels to get it and now she's a pro! My baby girl is a big girl!
(by the way, she wouldn't let us help her . . . this was all on her own, silly independent girl!)

WAY TO GO STELLA!!! You are awesome. We practiced a lot while Mom and Dad were cruising - now you need to bring your bike back so we can ride down to the mailboxes!!! Loves to you! Grandma D
